Some Help Please

I am currently looking for an evening/ night job (after 5pm till no later then 1am) to get some extra hours every week. I am 20 years old and male. Open to just about anything. I have a strong back and work construction during the day.

If anyone has any ideas of where I could find a place that would be able to give me some sort of work I would greatly appreciate it!

i just moved back here from philly where there was an endless supply of photo labs that did better than walmart and not as good as professional...does anyone know of any decent high quality consumer labs in the area? better than Ritz though? i was getting a set of 4x6 prints off an AGAFA lazer photo printer and a photo CD for $15 at the place i was going to in philly, so something similar would be great.

I know a lot of people here probably have heard of this place before, but I want to post about it again for the people who haven't.

It's an awesome place. It'd be better if we could get more members and get it to be more active.

Just post pictures. It doesn't have to be of anything specific. Open your front door, open the curtains, take pictures. They don't even need to be scenic pictures. Post pictures of you and your friends, pictures of when you go out, etc.

Rochester is a beautiful place, as you already know, and can see in what pictures have been posted.

Recently I have been doing some experiments with a visual synthesizer, converting an image into sound, then extrecting the image from the sound with a spectrogram. Here's a link describing the process with audio and visual examples: Link

Hi,
I've been lurking around the community for a couple weeks now and just wanted to say "hello" and share something i came across just recently.. see if we can get some conversation stirring a bit in this community.
A friend of mine who lives in Sweden showed me this.. What are everyone's thoughts on it..
If you care about animals AT ALL.

There's an artist, Nathalia Edenmont, who kills cats, mice, doves, rabbits, and other animals, mutilates their bodies, and then takes their photographs. She's on exhibit, among other places, at the Wetterling Gallery in Sweden. She has taken the top halves of five white mice and made them into finger puppets. She beat a cat to death with a stick. And this is called art. This is not only inhumane, but morally reprehensible.

hello, need assistance?

Hey All, I'm new here, only know one of you (poeticdream). I'm a local rochester artist, I teach watercolor and do a lot of figure and landscape pieces, mixed media, etc. I'm currently attending a program to become a K-12 teacher, and I need assistance (please help)...

Still looking for student help
I am still searching for a high school student that would be willing to do an interview with me about artistic expression (or lack there-of). They do not have to be artists. They do not have to enjoy art of any kind. They just have to be willing to answer a few questions about how they think of art and their own creative process (if any- and trust me, we all have some kind of creative process). I also need parental permission to conduct this interview as these students are not adults.

If anyone knows a young person who attends a school (ie, not home-schooled) between the ages of 14 and 17 who would be willing to speak to me about art, and whose parents would be OK with this, please let me know ASAP.

Basic requirements:
1. Age 14-17
2. Willing to interview about art
3. Attends formal school (not home-schooled)
4. Parental permission.

Other than being extremely busy things are going will here. I have 2 interviews that I am trying to schedule and several projects that are coming due very quickly. I love and hate the quarter system.

Cheerio for now!

Hiya! I'm a Rochestarian artist, therefore it only seemed natural that I should join the ranks. Here, have a fishbowl.
